Red Bull/KTM's Ryan Dungey won his first National of the year in Bloutville, Tennessee last week and hopes to continue his winning ways at Mt. Morris's High Point Raceway this Saturday. Regardless, he will make it difficult for Ryan Villopoto to hang onto the lead in the 450 Outdoor series.

As Ryan Dungey proved this last week, the battle for the 450 Outdoor title will come down to a bar banging duel between him, RV2 and Justin Barcia. Toss in James Stewart, Trey Canard, Mike Alessi, and a host of other top pros and you have everything you need for a slam-bam action race series. It ain't over, till its over.

Geico Honda's Eli Tomac wonders how he's going to get that huge Motorcycle Superstore Holeshot check into his wallet for the trip home to Colorado. Actually there will be only one winner in the 250 class, and one winner in the 450 class, awarded at the end of the race season. The rider with the most bonus points at the end of the season will collect the moola.
A special shout out has to go to the Motorcycle Superstore ( for their very generous Holeshot awards at all the Lucas Oil MX Nationals this year. Here is how it works, with a word from Motorcycle Superstore Director of Sports Marketing Tim Clark.
"The holeshot is such a vital part of success in a motocross race," says Tim. "We're adding a little extra incentive for the riders out there, which we think will add to the fun and excitement for the fans."
In a switch from conventional holeshot awards, this year's racers will have a chance to collect four points per race in each of the 12 stops on the outdoor circuit this year. Moto 1 will be worth one point, Moto 2 will be worth two, and a rider who sweeps both holeshots will get a bonus point. The rider with the most points at the end of the season will collect the bonus money, which is $25,000 for the 450cc class and $15,000 for the 250cc class.
"Sponsoring the holeshot awards have become a signature feature for Motorcycle Superstore," Clark added. "We've made our mark in prestigious amateur races like Loretta Lynn's, and the Ricky Carmichael race in Daytona, and we wanted to bring that same excitement to the pro level."
