Digital and Print Advertising Sales Manager

You will be joining a team of experienced communications executives launching a new enthusiast communications platform serving the Off Road powersports market, focusing on motorcycles, all terrain vehicles and side by side utility vehicles. This project is supported by communications partner and off road industry veteran Wright Publishing. The communications platform includes a state of the art web site, a digital magazine and print magazine under the brand DIRT Illustrated. The position is selling advertising, sponsorships and custom marketing opportunities to clients in the off road business interested in selling their products and services the enthusiast that use them.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Develop advertising sales relationships with prospective advertising accounts.
• Sell advertising on web-sites, digital magazines and print magazines, along with sponsorships and other integrated marketing programs.
• Meet or exceed advertising revenue quotas and targets.
• Communicate effectively with accounts in a variety of settings, including on the telephone, through electronic communication and in-person.
• Perform in-person presentations at client locations, industry events and trade shows.
• Provide weekly sales reports and analysis for each assigned project.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will have a proven successful track record in sales and be an energetic self starter that is proactive in driving revenue and increasing the customer client base. Candidate must be results driven and committed to creating new business opportunities while providing a high level of customer service. An understanding the powersports based (motorcycle, ATV and UTV) off road market is a strong plus.

• Experienced and successful outside sales professional.
• Ability to work within deadlines, be self managed and work independently.
• Understands how to research and prospect new customers and maintain a customer • database.
• Analytical and well organized.
• Manage multiple relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Ability to function independently and successfully complete projects.
• Must have team player spirit and attitude. Daily data entry updates.


• Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with CRM (ACT, Goldmine, etc.) software.
• Strong writing and presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial, high energy, high integrity personal style.
• Media sales experience a big plus.
• Knowledge of the Off Road market a big plus.
• Must be good communicator and skilled at developing and maintaining business relationships.
• Skilled at prioritizing and managing time effectively. Have strong work ethic.
• A positive attitude and professional demeanor is essential along with the flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s Degree required. 2-4 Years Selling Experience.
• Familiar with Print and On Line Advertising Sales Concepts, Practices and Procedures.


• 100% Commission Opportunity
• Up to 50% Commission on sales, plus bonuses.
• There are no caps on earning potential and income. Commissions paid on collection.

Physical Requirements

• The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.

• Work is performed in an office environment that is well lit.
